Identification
There a two steps needed in order to complete registration and open your first deposit.
- Upload a Proof of Address
- A Videoident video call
It is necessary for us to verify that you live where you said you do previously in the registration flow. For us to do this we require a document proving your address. This document can be either one of the following:
- A certificate of residence with your full name and address, valid for at least another 3 months.
- A bank statement which should contain your full name and address as well as the usual information provided in a bank statement like IBAN etc.
- A utility bill (e.g. electricity, telephone landline, water) providing similar information.
- The bank statement and utility bill must have been issued within the last 3 months.
Please upload this document in raisin.ie online banking or email it to us at service@raisin.ie
Before we open your account, we need to make sure that you are you! We do this to make sure that the person opening their Raisin account is really who they say they are. This keeps your identity safe from people who might want to use the account for criminal purposes. In order to verify your identity we use a service called Videoident provided by IDnow. Once you have completed the initial registration flow you will be able to video call an IDnow operator who can verify your identity.
In order to do this you will need;
- A valid passport
- 5 minutes
- A smartphone or webcam and mircrophone
- A stable internet connection (preferably over wifi) and good light
- Please not that if anyone else (other than the person identifying) appears in the video, the identification will fail
Congratulations!
